I Survived World War III

This year’s 4th of July weekend can best be described with this Oscar-winning movie’s poster:

503327 I Survived World War III

Oh Jay Hernandez, you old chestnut. Then, this morning I woke up for my job and felt a lot more grounded in reality:

Ah yes. Sweet, sweet reality. Then I realized that in my drunken-firework-exploding, mixed-martial-arts-watching, bicycle-moving, patio-partying ways that it might be time to update the blog with something a little fresh.

Error :: Love just put up a remix of sayCet’s song “Opal” and relabeled it “Opalowsky”, sounding eeriely like the very last name celebrating my distinct Polish heritage. This isn’t your grinding sawtooth electro but sayCet isn’t exactly as vulgar as its fellow French counterparts. Does posting something French immediately after 4th of July weekend make me un-American? Sigh…. Enjoy.

With America’s birthday coming up in July, we have a lot to look forward to:

But let’s not forget how awesome June was. So we’re going to try something a little new here. Every month I’m going to post my top five songs for that month. To add to the confusion, it won’t necessarily be new releases. Instead it will be the top five songs I’ve added to my iTunes collection for that month. In no particular order:

Burntpiano - Push Em Up Now

Error :: Love - Dangerous Dance

Nick Catchdubs - Beeper Party Edit

KW Griff - Foot Stompin’

Grum - Go Back (Le Castle Vania Remix)
